Automated stages may draft summaries, satire, headlines, and social copy against structured schemas when OPENAI_API_KEY is configured. No factual sentence is eligible to publish unless it maps to stored source URLs. If the model is absent, the site publishes sourced headlines and excerpts only and labels satire as paused. AI output is never presented as a sourced fact. Human-sounding satire is still satire and is labeled.
